This is Sage, one of my three Alpine dairy goats. They give us delicious, nutritious milk that we use for our own consumption as well as to make cheve and feta cheese and goat milk soap. Goat milk is naturally homogenized and contains 7% less lactose than cow milk, making it easier to digest. Many people who are lactose intolerant can, in fact, drink goat milk. When handled properly goat milk tastes creamy and delicious and, in my opinion, even better than cow milk.
